My Approach

Personal Training

My approach to PT involves setting my clients up for steady, sustainable, continuous progress, by teaching them what is important, relative to their goals, and guiding them through safely and effectively achieving those goals.

Lessons may include:

  • safe and effective resistance training technique
  • nutrition for weight loss and/or muscle gain
  • gym programme design
  • incorporating corrective/rehabilitation exercises into a routine
  • applying training techniques outside of the gym

Goals may include:

  • weight loss
  • muscle gain
  • posture improvement
  • strength gain
  • body confidence
  • injury rehabilitation
  • preventative maintenance

Massage Therapy

I use an evidence based approach to massage therapy.
This means I use massage to treat issues that research has shown it to be effective for treating:

  • pain relief (especially chronic pain)
  • stress & anxiety relief
  • depression treatment
  • improved sleep
  • improved recovery

I use techniques from Swedish massage, combined with guided stretching, and some trigger point release techniques.
